Vandals Bridle Herons, 2-1
|
Behind an impressive start by J.R. Carnathan, Eugene beat Holy City, 2-1. Steffen Camp recorded the save, his 10th. The Vandals improve their record to 14-19 with the win over Holy City.
The Vandals got a big at-bat from shortstop Ray Ross. For the game, Ross was 2-3 with a double. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 4th double of the season gave Eugene a 1-0 lead.
"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said Eugene manager José Cervantes.
