The Pontiac Godfathers outlasted José Vera and the Eugene Vandals, 8-6. Vera was impressive in the loss. The Eugene third baseman hit 2 home runs. Pontiac reliever Warren Cleveland got the win, raising his record to 1-0. Jeremy Harris was tagged with the loss. Pontiac is now 12-10, while Eugene is 10-12.

Pontiac took a 8-6 lead on George Roberts's 1st home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Eugene pitcher Jeremy Harris in the bottom of the eighth.

"We'll take some time to unwind," said Roberts, "and then get after it again."
