Videla, Myrtle Beach Prevail in Pitchers' Duel
|
Myrtle Beach got an elite performance from starting pitcher Rafael Videla in taking a 1-0 decision over the Grand Forks Caterpillars. Ray Stevenson picked up the save for Myrtle Beach, his 8th of the year. With the win, Myrtle Beach pushed its record to 12-8.
Videla earned the win, going 8 strong innings for Myrtle Beach. The right-hander allowed just 3 hits, while striking out 7. Grand Forks hitters had little success against him.
Videla said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
