Fans saw a dandy of a game between the Delmarva Gallos and Alameda Airmen.

Alameda got a decent performance from pitcher Alex Rodríguez, but it wasn't enough to beat the Delmarva Gallos. Delmarva won the Alameda Field contest, 4-3. Rodríguez threw 6.1 innings of 2-hit ball for the losing team. Delmarva reliever Benedito Punahele was the winner. His record is now 2-0. The losing pitcher was Alex Rodríguez.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the top of the seventh, with the game tied, Felipe Delgado was at the plate when Delmarva scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Gallos to go in front, 4-3.

"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Alameda manager Gonzalo Féliz.

The 8th-place Gallos lifted their record to 8-12.
