Hobeaus Win, Morán goes 4-for-4
|
The home crowd had a good time watching the Pontiac Godfathers and Smoky Mountain Hobeaus get after it.
Hobeaus third baseman Félix Morán put his stamp on his team's 3-1 win over the Pontiac Godfathers. Morán went 4-4 with a home run, a triple, and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for Smoky Mountain in the contest. Craig Chase was credited with the save for Smoky Mountain, his 4th of the season.
The game was on the line with two out in the top of the eighth inning, but Ignacio Ramos didn't flinch. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and Pontiac trailing 2-1, Ramos retired Jerry Padgett to end the threat. "Nothing to it," said Ramos, with a wink.
The Hobeaus, now 4-12, have not found much traction so far in 2056.
