The Myrtle Beach Seahawks topped the Pontiac Godfathers, 6-4, in USSL Single A action at Pontiac Copperdome. The standout performance belonged to Myrtle Beach pitcher and Berkeley, California, native Rafael Videla. Videla, the winner, moves to 2-1. He threw 6 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 11 and giving up 3 walks. Ray Stevenson finished to wrap up his 6th save.

Brandon Athlone had a critical at-bat with one out in the top of the sixth for Myrtle Beach. He came through with a run-scoring single to put Myrtle Beach in front, 4-2.

"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Videla said.

Pontiac is 6-5 after the defeat.
