Hermit Crabs Clip Yellows in Tight Contest, 3-1

Huntington Hermit Crabs pitcher Alan Sullivan was in fine form, leading his team past the Yucca Valley Yellows, 3-1. Sullivan picked up the win for Huntington, going 7.2 innings. He gave up 1 run on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 7-5. Ljuba Sunalp recorded the save for Huntington, his 16th of the season.
Huntington used the clutch hitting of Robert Lander to capture the win. The pinch hitter drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Hermit Crabs ahead, 3-1. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a big one.
In postgame comments to the Huntington Times, Sullivan said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
