Myrtle Beach Seahawks starter Francisco Suárez turned in a sterling performance against the Holy City Herons, leading his team to a slim 3-2 win. Ricardo Moya, now 1-0, was credited with the win. He allowed no runs on no hits, while striking out 3 and walking 0. Ray Stevenson earned the save for Myrtle Beach, his 2nd of the year.
Juan Salazar broke a 2-2 tie in the bottom of the seventh with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It put the Seahawks in front, 3-2. For the game, Salazar drew 1 walk.
"I just trusted my stuff," said Suárez.
The win lifts Myrtle Beach to a record of 2-1.
