Hawks Suffer 2-1 Setback
|
Henry Peters could take little solace in pitching a good game. The fact is his Laredo Hawks lost, dropping a 2-1 decision to the Niagara Falls Expos at Waterfall Park. Niagara Falls, at 39-42, occupies 7th place in the Menard's A.
Pablo Deleón's at-bat in the bottom of the sixth was significant for the Expos. Coming to the plate with a runner on 3rd and Niagara Falls trailing 1-0, the Expos right fielder hit a sacrifice fly.
Afterward, Expos manager Mackenzie Bolen was ebullient. "That was a fun game to coach," he told a group of reporters, adding, "I hope it was just as fun to watch."
