Yellows Pick Up 3-1 Win Over Niagara Falls
|
In a tight game between the Yucca Valley Yellows and the Niagara Falls Expos, pitcher Sandro Gonzáles was terrific on the mound. The Yucca Valley right-hander helped his team to the 3-1 win. Gonzáles, now 3-5, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 7, walking 5, and allowing 1 run. Their 29-49 record puts the Yellows last in the Menard's A.
Mike Harris drew 1 walk for Yucca Valley. In the top of the sixth, with the teams deadlocked, 1-1, Harris delivered for the Yellows. His run-scoring sacrifice fly put Yucca Valley on top, 2-1.
"We faced good pitching and still got it done," said Harris.
