Mancelona Torch starter Robert Walls kept the Matlacha Manatees hitters in check, leading his team to a comfortable 6-2 win. The Torch now have a record of 24-41 with the win over Matlacha.

Mancelona used the timely hitting of Bikila Ayinde to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Torch on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Ayinde told the Mancelona Herald.
