Bush Pilots Park was the site for M3L Single A action featuring the Alaskan Bush Pilots and Mancelona Torch.

The performance of Gabriel Salinas proved critical in helping Mancelona beat Alaskan, 7-5. The Torch first baseman was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Jaime Trujillo earned the save for Mancelona, his 9th.

Mancelona used a clutch hit from Eulogio Churruca to get the win. The catcher drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Torch ahead, 7-5. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We're a talented bunch when we're playing well," said Salinas. "I think we showed that here."

After today's action, Mancelona sits at 17-28; Alaskan slips to 19-26.
