Idaho Falls Tops Belleville, 4-1
|
Idaho Falls starter Aaron Covington put a stranglehold on the Belleville offense. The right-hander had complete command of his changeup in leading the Chukars to a 4-1 win. The Chukars improved to a lofty 21-9.
The Chukars grabbed the lead in the top of the fourth. With two out, John Blankenburg hit a 2-run home run off Thomaz Sedas, putting Idaho Falls in front, 3-0. For Blankenburg, it was his 1st home run of the season.
"Aaron was pounding the zone," said Idaho Falls manager Todd Hines.
