Belleville Topples Idaho Falls, 4-2
|
Dan Cortés pitched well, but the Idaho Falls Chukars still lost the game, falling 4-2 to the Belleville Bulls at Belleville Field. The Bulls raised their record to 12-17.
The Bulls got an important contribution from first baseman Joe Kramer, who in the bottom of the first punched a 2-2 changeup into right for a 2-run home run. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Bulls ahead, 2-0.
"Enjoyed this one," Kramer told the Belleville Bulletin. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
