Minnesota Loons starter Joe Thomas pitched a strong game against the Asheville Highlanders at Loony Bin, leading the Loons to victory, 6-3. The win for the Loons lifted their record to 68-34.

Las Vegas, Nevada-born Liang Choi came through in the clutch. In the bottom of the seventh, with runners on 2nd and 3rd and the Loons trailing 3-2, he hit a 2-run single to center to put Minnesota on top.

"I tried to mix it up, keep them off balance," said Thomas.
