Franz Excels in 5-0 Alaskan Win
|
Alaskan pitcher Chuck Franz did his part in helping his team beat the Put-In-Bay Commodores, 5-0. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Alaskan, with the win, climbs to 9-17.
Matt Elliott put Alaskan in front, 2-0, when he took Jeremy Baker downtown. His solo home run came with one out in the bottom of the fourth. It was his 1st home run of the season.
"We'll build on this win," said Franz.
