The Niagara Falls Expos overcame a fine performance by Matlacha catcher Benny Delancie to defeat the Manatees, 8-7, at Waterfall Park. Delancie was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Niagara Falls reliever Andrew Carlson picked up the win to move to 2-0. Barry Cuda suffered the loss. Niagara Falls has now won 3 in a row.

Francisco Martínez broke a 6-6 tie in the bottom of the sixth with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It put the Expos in front, 7-6. For the game, Martínez drew 1 walk.
