Loons Snatch Late Win
The Minnesota Loons picked up a win at Field of the Krewe, taking down the Crescent City Krewe, 6-4. Starting pitcher Joe Thomas was a big reason why. Minnesota pitcher Carl Smith got the win, upping his record to 2-0. Vincent Sturm got the loss. Minnesota now sits in second place in the Premier AA at 59-33.

This game was not decided until late. With one out in the top of the ninth, Ju-ho Hwang got hit by a pitch, driving in 1 run. The Loons took the lead, 5-4.

Thomas told a Minnesota Times reporter that he was "very satisfied" with the win.
