Late Magic Gets Minnesota 2-1 Win
The Minnesota Loons wiggled past the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles, 2-1, at Mercer Island Grounds. The win was highlighted by the performance of Minnesota pitcher Adam Brewer. Minnesota reliever Hemolekekeakua Makaalohi got the win, raising his record to 3-1. Octávio Ortíz was tagged with the loss. Minnesota, at 58-32, sits in second place in the Premier AA.

Runs were at a premium. So, Juan Orozco's at-bat with one out in the top of the tenth was crucial. The Minnesota left fielder hit a sacrifice fly, to give his team a 2-1 lead.

Brewer said afterward that he was glad to help his team win.
