Late Magic Gets Ithaca 7-3 Win
The Ithaca Fighting Imps beat the Minnesota Loons, 7-3, at Loony Bin. The Fighting Imps got a fine performance from second baseman Evan Winn, who was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Naveed Firdausi, 5-4, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. The Fighting Imps go to 33-37, putting them 6th in the Premier AA.

Ithaca used a timely hit from Mark Doss to get the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Fighting Imps ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"Winning never gets old," said Doss.
