Pilgrims Get Dramatic 1-0 Triumph
The home squad pulled out a thrilling walk-off win.

Providence starter Mike Thomas put a stranglehold on the Asheville offense. The right-hander had complete command of his splitter in leading the Pilgrims to a 1-0 win. The Highlanders, now 28-39, have lost 4 straight.

Alfredo García delivered a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the ninth to win it for the Pilgrims. For the game, García drew 1 walk.

"We found a way to get it done," Thomas said.
