6-3 Loss Extends Providence Skid
Another game, another loss for the struggling Providence Pilgrims.

Lac Leman was a vital contributor to the 6-3 Minnesota victory over Providence. The Loons center fielder went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Joe Thomas, the winner, improved to 7-2. He held Providence to 3 runs on 6 hits over 6 innings, while racking up 7 strikeouts. Vojislav Gracanin nailed down his 2nd save.

A key moment came in the top of the fifth inning when Loons third baseman Liang Choi socked a 0-1 curveball to center for a run-scoring single, putting Minnesota up, 4-3.

"This losing is getting old," said Providence manager Justin Moore.
