The outcome was not decided until the very end at Torch Field.

Alaskan got a terrific performance from pitcher León Berroa, but it wasn't enough to beat the Mancelona Torch. Mancelona won the Torch Field contest, 4-2. Berroa threw 7.0 innings of 6-hit ball for the losing team. Carlos Orozco snagged the win in relief. In 4.1 innings, the right-hander allowed no runs on no hits. He's now 1-1 on the season.

Mancelona won the game in the bottom of the ninth inning. With no outs and Juan Nevárez on the mound for Alaskan, shortstop Bikila Ayinde hit a dramatic 2-run home run, bringing Torch fans to their feet.

"It's a thrill to get that kind of win," Ayinde said.

With the win, Mancelona boosts its record to 5-10.
