Fighting Imps Rally For 8-7 Win
Richard Oliver added some punch to the Ithaca offense, helping them outmuscle the Asheville Highlanders, 8-7. In the game, Oliver, who is tied for 6th in the PAA in home runs with 9, went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 3 runs. Reliever Emery Kehler picked up the win. His record improves to 2-2. Bob O'Slattery took the loss. Wan-hua Yi earned the save for Ithaca, his 17th of the year.

Ithaca took a 8-7 lead on Evan Winn's 17th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Winn hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Asheville pitcher Bob O'Slattery shaking his head.

Fighting Imps manager Albert Pérez wasn't all too pleased, despite the win, telling reporters that the performance highlighted some clear areas for improvement moving forward. He refused to be more specific, however. "I'm not gonna publicize our weaknesses," he said. "That stuff stays in the clubhouse."

With the win, Ithaca has a record of 29-29. Asheville falls to 24-34.
