5 Straight Wins for Expos
|
The Niagara Falls Expos had to overcome a fine performance from Belleville pitcher Félix Pérez to grab a 3-1 win at Belleville Field. Pérez allowed 2 runs over 6.1 innings. The loss makes the Bulls 5-9.
The Expos got a big at-bat from second baseman Rafael Vázquez. For the game, Vázquez was 1 for 4 with a home run. In the top of the fifth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Niagara Falls a 2-1 lead.
"We faced good pitching and still got it done," said Vázquez.
