Screaming Eagles Edge Minnesota in Pitching Duel
In a low-scoring game between the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles and the Minnesota Loons, pitcher Quinn Brandt was masterful on the mound. The Mercer Island right-hander spearheaded his team's 1-0 win. The winning pitcher was Brandt, now 4-2. He tossed 5 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 7. The win puts Mercer Island at 25-19 this season.

The Screaming Eagles got a big at-bat from third baseman Oscar Meyer, who in the bottom of the first hit a run-scoring double. It was his 10th double of the season and put the Screaming Eagles on top, 1-0.
