Extra-Inning Win by Loons Over Screaming Eagles
Behind the hitting of Lac Leman, the Minnesota Loons stopped the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles, 7-5. Leman went 2 for 5 with a home run and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 2 for the Loons. Minnesota reliever Hemolekekeakua Makaalohi picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Octávio Ortíz shouldered the loss. The Loons raised their record to 29-14.

The game was at a stalemate until center fielder Rafael Molina came to bat in the top of the 11th. Facing Mercer Island pitcher Octávio Ortíz, he hit a 1-2 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Minnesota on top, 6-5.

"We didn't go down without a fight," said Mercer Island manager Ricardo Vargas.
