Northville got a strong outing from Pedro Soto as the Eclipse defeated the Providence Pilgrims, 3-2, at Field of Plenty. Lyndon Lerwill sewed up the save, his 13th. Northville is now 23-19, Providence 17-25.
Wallace Martin was 1-3 for Northville. In the top of the fifth, with the teams deadlocked, 2-2, Martin delivered for the Eclipse. His run-scoring sacrifice fly put Northville on top, 3-2.
"Pedro made his pitches," said Northville manager Pedro Ángel.
