The Ithaca Fighting Imps defeated the Bethesda Atoms, 6-1, in USPL Double A action at Atoms Field. Ithaca pitcher Adam Walker had a standout performance. The Fighting Imps go to 12-15, putting them 7th in the Premier AA.
Ithaca used the bat of Manny Estrada to get the win. The second baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Fighting Imps ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it did its damage.
"We've got guys willing to do what it takes to win," Estrada told the Ithaca Observer.
