The Mercer Island Screaming Eagles got a stellar performance from pitcher Quinn Brandt, who handcuffed the Minnesota offense en route to a win, 2-1, at Loony Bin. Brandt picked up the win for Mercer Island, going 5 innings. He gave up no runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 1-2. The win puts Mercer Island at 10-9.
Dan Wallace, the 25-year old shortstop , had a direct impact on the outcome. Wallace contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the second inning to put Mercer Island up, 2-0.
