The home crowd had a good time watching the Mancelona Torch and Laredo Hawks get after it.

The Laredo Hawks defeated the Mancelona Torch, 4-2, in M3L Single A action at Hawks Field. Laredo pitcher Manuel Delgado had a standout performance. Delgado picked up the win for Laredo, going 8 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 8 hits. He now sports a record of 1-0. Dean Bradley picked up the save for Laredo, his 1st of the year.

Rob Martin had a key at-bat with two out in the bottom of the seventh for Laredo. With the bases loaded and the Hawks leading 3-2, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Delgado told the Laredo Bulletin.

The win puts Laredo at 4-3.
