A 5-RBI performance from third baseman Paul Johnston led the Ithaca Fighting Imps to a win over the Minnesota Loons, 6-4. Picking up the win was Frederick Jennings. He went 5.2 innings, allowing 4 runs on 8 hits. The right--hander struck out 4 and walked 2. The win gives Ithaca a record of 5-4.

Johnston contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Ithaca in the bottom of the fifth. With his team trailing 4-2, Johnston took a curveball from Steve Stevens and stroked the home run to right-center. His 1st home run of the season allowed the Fighting Imps to leap in front, 6-4.
