Atoms Come Up Short at Northville, 3-2
|
Northville left-hander John McCarthy helped his team edge Bethesda by the score of 3-2. McCarthy kept the opposing lineup in check. Earning his 3rd save of the year was Lyndon Lerwill. The loss lowers the Bethesda record to 1-4.
Northville third baseman Greg García contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the first. With two down, he hit a changeup into left field for a 2-run single. It was his 4th hit of the season and put the Eclipse ahead, 3-1.
"There are no moral victories," said losing manager Cody Blackburn.
