The Mercer Island Screaming Eagles topped the Minnesota Loons, 2-0, in USPL Double A action at Loony Bin. The standout performance belonged to Mercer Island pitcher and Jacksonville, Florida, native Nick Johnston. Aaron Houghton closed it out for his 1st save. The loss drops Minnesota to 2-1.

The Screaming Eagles grabbed the lead in the top of the sixth. With two out, Francisco Pérez hit a solo home run off Matt Dougherty, putting Mercer Island in front, 2-0. For Pérez, it was his 1st home run of the season.
