Saboteurs Losing Streak at 7 After Extra-Inning Loss to Thunder Hawks

Ft. Polk South picked up a win at Thunder Hawks Ballpark, bumping off the Toledo Saboteurs, 3-2. Pitcher Kurt Hilas was a major reason the Thunder Hawks emerged victorious. Reliever Lloyd Anderson picked up the win. His record improves to 3-4. Hal Wilson took the loss. With the win, Ft. Polk South goes to 40-48, while the Saboteurs fall to 44-44.
When he came to bat in the bottom of the 11th, Blair Nelson had a chance to be the hero. Toledo pitcher Hal Wilson had other ideas. But with two outs, Nelson drew a walk, driving in 1 run. The Thunder Hawks had themselves a dramatic win.
"This game tested our mettle," said Nelson.
