Cangrejos Fantasmas Stick Dolphins with 3-2 Loss

Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas got the win.
The Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas got a stellar effort from pitcher Maurice Richards, helping Chesapeake score a win over the visiting Pine Island Dolphins, 3-2. Richards, now 7-3, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 10 hits, while striking out 6, walking 2, and allowing 2 runs. Earning his 4th save for Chesapeake was José Souza.
Tied up with the Dolphins in the bottom of the fourth inning, the Cangrejos Fantasmas got a boost from right fielder Tom Burke. With runners on 1st and 2nd, Burke saw a full count cutter from Howard Campbell and hit a run-scoring single to break the stalemate and put Chesapeake on top, 2-1.
"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said Chesapeake manager Jorge Baca.
With the victory, the Cangrejos Fantasmas record now stands at 39-36.
