Squirrel Hill rode a good effort from starter William Hood to beat the Billings Polar Bears at Field of the Rawhides. The final score was 3-0. Hood, now 3-5, was the winner. In 5 innings, he gave up 1 hit, while striking out 2, walking 1, and allowing no runs. The 9th-place Pierogis improved to 28-37.

With one out in the bottom of the first, Shan-tang Zhou barreled up a changeup from Kojuro Kitakawa. The result was a 2-run home run, putting the Pierogis in front, 3-0.
