Ogres Down Thunder, 7-4
|
Olympia picked up a win at Baby Thunder Dome, bumping off the St. Petersburg Thunder, 7-4. Pitcher David Brandon was a major reason the Ogres emerged victorious. Olympia is now 24-35, while St. Petersburg is 28-31.
In the top of the fifth inning, the Ogres grabbed the lead when Cosmo Bullens rapped a two-out triple. Olympia was trailing 4-3, when Bullens hit a 2-run triple off Anastasio Méndez to put his team in front, 5-4.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Brandon told the Olympia Daily News.
