The Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas downed the Olympia Ogres, 5-1, at The Ogre Den. The Cangrejos Fantasmas were led by Martin Sweetman. He went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Chesapeake pitcher Maurice Richards got the win, upping his record to 5-3. Michael Poe got the loss. With the win, Chesapeake goes to 27-24, while the Ogres fall to 21-30.
Chesapeake took a 4-1 lead on Sweetman's 3rd home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which he hit off Josh Barnette in the top of the eighth, propelled Chesapeake to the win.
"Winning is the only objective," said Sweetman after the game.
