Dolphins Get 5-2 Win Versus Toledo
|
The Pine Island Dolphins got a stellar effort from pitcher Diego Pounds, helping Pine Island score a win over the visiting Toledo Saboteurs, 5-2. Pedro Bernal earned the win after being called from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.2 innings. He upped his record to 2-2. The win elevated the Dolphins to 25-24.
Pine Island took a 4-2 lead on Cliff Baldwin's 1st home run of the season. The 3-run home run came off Toledo pitcher Zhenya Fadeechev in the bottom of the seventh.
"We'll kick back tonight and enjoy this win," said Pounds.
