Field of the Rawhides was the site of quite a ballgame.

The Squirrel Hill Pierogis took Ft. Polk South pitcher Kurt Hilas's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Field of the Rawhides. The final score had Squirrel Hill getting past the Thunder Hawks, 5-4. Hilas went 6 innings and allowed 4 runs, striking out 7. The Pierogis' win now puts them at 20-29.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Squirrel Hill catcher Caden Bradford, facing Manuel Liscano, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Pierogis the 5-4 win.

"This place was electric at the end," Bradford said.
