Victory Takes Saboteurs to 26-14
|
Toledo picked up a win at Toledo Backyard Park, bumping off the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks, 5-1. Pitcher Allan Reid was a major reason the Saboteurs emerged victorious. The winning pitcher was Reid, now 3-3. He tossed 6.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 4. The win elevated the Saboteurs to 26-14.
Toledo took a 4-1 lead on Roy Hewat's 9th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Hewat hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Ft. Polk South pitcher Edgardo Rivera shaking his head.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Hewat.
