In a low-scoring affair between the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks and the Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas, pitcher Kurt Hilas was the difference between victory and defeat. The Ft. Polk South right-hander earned accolades in the 3-2 Thunder Hawks win. Jorge Salas earned the save for Ft. Polk South, his 6th. The Thunder Hawks now own a record of 17-18.

Panagiotis Solomonidis took Michael Sawyer deep in the bottom of the eighth. His 2-run home run put the Thunder Hawks on top, 3-2. In all, Solomonidis had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
