Both teams had their chances, but the Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas eventually prevailed.

Chesapeake beat Squirrel Hill on the strength of starter Ted Elkins's fine effort. The left-hander led his team to a win, 4-3. Otis Mullen got the save, the 3rd for him this season.

Sammy Baldwin was 1-4 for Chesapeake. The 22-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Chris Barnes. It was his 14th RBI of the season.

Squirrel Hill manager Carlos Soto said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.

The winning streak has now reached 5 games for the Cangrejos Fantasmas.
