Thunder Hawks Topple Ogres, 5-3
|
The Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks picked up a win at Thunder Hawks Ballpark, taking down the Olympia Ogres, 5-3. Starting pitcher Kel Ellis was a big reason why. The winning pitcher was Ellis, now 2-2. He tossed 6 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 6 and fanning 7. Olympia has now lost 4 straight.
Daniel Major had a critical at-bat with two out in the bottom of the sixth for Ft. Polk South. He came through with a 3-run home run to put Ft. Polk South in front, 5-0.
"We had a good game plan," Ellis said, "and we were able to execute it."
