Yakima third baseman Kang Meng had a 3-RBI game, leading his team in its 9-4 defeat of the Gulf Coast Turbeaus. Meng picked up 2 singles and 1 double in the ballgame. John Woods, the winner, improved to 4-0. He held the Turbeaus to 2 runs on 6 hits over 6 innings, while striking out 5 and walking 2. Yakima bumps their record to 17-7 with the win.

With Yakima leading 2-0 in the top of the second, Meng hit a curveball from Ronnie Dunse for a 2-run double. It was his 3rd double of the season and put the Hops ahead, 4-0.
