Ernest Thompson pitched a gem to lead Billings to victory over the St. Petersburg Thunder, 2-1. Micheal Richardson was called on to finish, recording his 2nd save. Billings is now 12-12. St. Petersburg is 11-13.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Polar Bears had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the top of the second, when shortstop Sean Leonard hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Alfonso Escamilla and made the score 1-0, Polar Bears. Leonard went 1-3.

"There are no moral victories," said losing manager Terrence Eler.
