Thunder Pull Even With 5-2 Victory
The St. Petersburg Thunder picked up a win at Baby Thunder Dome, knocking off the Billings Polar Bears, 5-2. Starting pitcher Carlos Gómez played a key role in the triumph. Gómez, now 2-2, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 8, walking 3, and allowing 2 runs. With the victory, the Thunder upped their record to 11-11.

Jon Stewart hit a bases-clearing triple off Bruce Lewis in the bottom of the sixth, which put the Thunder in front, 5-2. In addition to the triple, Stewart had 1 single and 1 walk, while going 2 for 4.
