The Pine Island Dolphins got a stellar performance from pitcher Diego Pounds, who handcuffed the Ft. Polk South offense en route to a win, 3-1, at Goodyear Hanger Dome. José de Jesús Ramos picked up the save for Pine Island, his 2nd of the year. The win makes Pine Island 12-9.

In the bottom of the fifth inning, Joe Lyons went deep for the Dolphins. With Pine Island trailing 1-0, he drilled a solo home run.

Lyons called the win "what playing unselfish baseball looks like."
