The Huntington Hermit Crabs and Chicago Tula provided some drama for the home crowd.
Chicago left-hander Luis Rojas helped his team edge Huntington by the score of 2-1. Rojas kept the opposing lineup in check. Jeremiah Harris, credited with the win, is now 1-0. He allowed no runs on 2 hits. Earning his 1st save of the year was Román Martínez.
Chicago used the clutch hitting of Joaquín Rivera to capture the win. The third baseman drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to give the Tula the lead, 2-1. For the game, Rivera had 1 single and 1 double in 3 at-bats.
"Tough loss," said Huntington manager Manuel Martínez. "But we'll learn from it."
The loss drops the Hermit Crabs to 0-3.
